Reimbursement for care-related costs

Managing hemophilia with inhibitors can get costly. Your insurance may not cover all of the services you need. SevenSECURE® may help reimburse costs for:
    Mobility and medical-aid devices
    Dental work and cleanings
Travel expenses for educational meetings and conferences

Stay mobile with SevenSECURE®

Insurance policies do not always cover mobility devices. If you need a wheelchair, walker, braces, or something else to keep you going, SevenSECURE® may be able to help with the costs.

Help with dental work and cleanings

It is important to not skip dental visits. Healthy teeth and gums are important to your overall health. A visit to the dentist can be costly if you have a bleeding disorder, but SevenSECURE® can help.

Secure your travel expenses

Going to an educational meeting or conference is a great way to meet other people with inhibitors. However, there are costs for registration, travel, lodging, food, and childcare. SevenSECURE® can help pay for these costs and keep you connected to the inhibitor community. You can be reimbursed for travel to clinic visits, too!

    Assistance with other medical costs*

As a member of SevenSECURE®, you can get help paying for:
    Outpatient medical evaluation and treatment
    Compression devices
    Physical therapy appointments
Up to 3 months of prescription assistance for nonfactor medications
*Insurance premium programs are administered by Patient Services Incorporated (PSI), a leading nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization. PSI evaluates requests using a sliding scale that identifies patient need beyond the aid given by many state and federal programs. This may make help available to those who do not qualify elsewhere. SevenSECURE® supports the efforts of PSI for persons with hemophilia with inhibitors, acquired hemophilia, or Factor VII deficiency.

Scholarship Managers Inc (SMI), an independent third party, reviews all of the applications and essays. For scholarships of a competitive nature, SMI determines awards based on internal scoring criteria. Scholarship winners will be announced each year during the summer. Payment is made directly to the school. Primary caregivers must reside at the same address as the SevenSECURE® member.
